Ship Data
Summary

The KVLCC2 tanker, the KCS container and the ONR Tumblehome hull forms will be used as benchmark ships. Similar to the workshop in 2008 and 2014, a variety of methods are available for predicting force and trajectories. CFD predictions can be used.

The ship geometries, test conditions and specific test programs to be used for the workshop are available. (“Instructions to participants”) The test results will be available after submissions from all the participants are completed.

Overview of the model tests that either have been or will be performed for the workshop are given in model test cases & plan. (“Instructions to participants”)
Raw model test data for simulation methods are downloadable via FTP server.
